The simple answer is: If you like our photography, then you should hire us. We love to work with people, who love the type of photography we are doing. We believe that this is the only right reason, why you should hire your photographer. Other reasons for hiring a photographer can lead to misunderstandings, tension or disappointment from the results of the shoot.
Our standard turnaround time is 20 business days however you can add a sneak peek gallery to your package where you can receive up to 15, 25 or 50 images in 5 business days. Fees apply. Please note, we do not offer a same-day or next-day image delivery however 5 business days is the maximum turnaround time for your sneak peek gallery.

The minimum order for a sneak peek is $165.
Yes, we do. All the files which have been selected through the culling process are corrected by hand and include colour correction, white balance, exposure, clarity, contrast and fill light adjustments before uploading to your online gallery.
No. Retouching is an additional service or complementary on print orders.

Our standard retouching includes the removal of facial shine, softening wrinkles, simple stray hairs, skin blemishes, whitening of teeth, brightening of eyes and dodge and burn for light balance. Advanced retouching such as braces, scars, mole, tattoo or freckle removal, glass glare removal, face, hair or eye swaps, solid background replacement or colour change, liquifying (changing face, neck or body shape) removal of objects can be added on request. Additional fees may apply.
No. However, if you do order prints with us, we believe that you have made the right decision. We are focusing on offering our clients the best solution in terms of quality we could find. It is easy to make a mistake when choosing a place for printing your files. Our products will save you time researching and protect you from those mistakes.
Yes, we can arrange a face to face Zoom consultation or meet in person if you are in Sydney, Australia.
Acrylic, Canvas, and Metal wall art will be shipped ready to hang. We recommend hiring an insured wall art installation specialist who will supply the appropriate "nuts and bolts" required as this is not included. If you are Sydney based, we can recommend an installation specialist. We do not cover damage caused by installation. Please make sure you use an insured professional. We can arrange artwork installation for you if you are Sydney based.
No, raw, unedited files are not available for viewing or purchase.
No. The files which have not been selected are duplicates or near-duplicates, eyes-closed, flash did not fire, a person walked in front of the camera, unflattering images, or out-of-focus images. We will not edit and deliver every exposure taken, only the files that meet our minimum and above standard. Files which are not selected are not archived, therefore aren't available.
Salava Photography is the copyright owner of the images from your event. Subject to the payment of the total price, we will grant you a royalty-free perpetual non-exclusive licence for limited reproduction rights to the images for non-commercial use. You may not retouch or otherwise alter the photographs. Unless specifically agreed between you and us, we may use any images for competitions, advertising, marketing or promotion.
Put your request in writing at the same time as returning our booking form and we will respect your request and revoke our right to use any images from your event in our marketing.
Yes, we love getting to know new places - anywhere! (Travel/Accommodation fees apply)
We both have Full Frame Mirrorless Canon EOS R5 & Canon EOS 5D Mark IV camera bodies and variety of lenses available for every shoot.
No. We are putting 100% effort and passion into one service (photography) rather than splitting our focus in half. We can direct you to our recommended videographer.
Yes, our business has Public Liability Insurance. We can provide a copy to your venue on request.
There are many places where a photography permit is required. Without the permit, we can be asked to leave the location or even face a penalty. We will happily organise the permit for you on request however it is your obligation to pay any shooting fees, permits or penalties for your shoot location.
We have been together as a couple since 2012. We have been photographing together since 2017. Business name Salava Photography was registered in July 2018. Rochelle, however, has been connected with photography since her childhood, which you can read here.
To hold your date we need a 30% non-refundable booking fee and a signed copy of our booking form at the same time. A date without a booking fee and signed form are unsecured and open to all client enquiries. The balance payment is due no later than four weeks before the event date to confirm the booking.

Yes, we have a 14-day cooling-off period.
We can have Skype or Zoom chat or phone call before you book. We believe that both sides should have a good chance to find out if we are a good fit for each other.
No, we can not replicate another photographer's work. If you like another photographer's style more, that's a great reason to give him a call. We can take inspiration for some shots, however, each photographer is different and two photographs of the same subject taken by two different people will never match.
English is the standard however if you need a Czech speaking photographer in Sydney, Jan will be the person to talk to.
