Wedding photography at Mort Bay Park - Birchgrove have similar attributes as Blues Point Reserve but no two places are ever same.

Wedding at Mort Bay Park

Mort Bay Park is located next to the Balmain Wharf in Mort Bay at the end of Mort Road and is also unique if you have a look in the history.

Built in 1854, it was Australia's first large-scale dry dock. The dock was closed following a depression in 1958 and a decline in shipbuilding activity after the two world wars.

Birchgrove was named after Birchgrove House, built by Lieutenant John Birch, paymaster of the 73rd regiment, around 1812. He added 'grove' to his surname when naming the house because of the large number of orange trees growing on the original site. The house was constructed of stone believed to have been quarried on site. The house was demolished in 1967 to make way for units.
