Chinese garden at Nurragingy Reserve was officially opened in August 2012 as a symbol of the economic partnership between Blacktown City and Liaocheng in China. There are elements from both the Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty in the garden.
The Chinese garden is only one little part of 63 hectare complex of parks, forests and nature reserves in Doonside.

There are 3 separate garden areas for weddings to choose from at Nurragingy – Bungarribee Pavilion, Jannawi Garden and Jim Lynch Memorial Garden.
Nurragingy Reserve is a popular place for a day out with the kids. The well-liked water park is often mentioned in visitors reviews, also as a BBQ area and needless to say -weddings.
Also, remember that using drones is not permitted in any of Blacktown City Council parks or reserves under Section 629;630:632, Local Government Act 1993. These regulations are consistent with the CASA rules for use of drones.Doonside wedding photography, Nurrangingy Reserve.
